This private day tour from Munich truly gives you the best of Tegernsee. A mountain river leads us up the slopes from the village of Tegernsee. After a 2 hour ascent, we reach a rocky little summit with a cute chapel where amazing vistas over the mountains of the Mangfallgebirge and the lake await. A short descent brings us to a mountain chalet where we enjoy a well-earned Bavarian lunch. Replenished, we hike back via a panoramic path above the lake that eventually leads us to the shores of lake Tegernsee.

Itinerary

Our train (just over one hour each way) takes us to the village of Tegernsee and we'll see all the highlights of the village – including Castle Tegernsee.

We will check out the lake shore and there is also a chance to take a dip in the lake.

Our hike takes us straight into the Bavarian Alps. Enjoy the winding paths and lovely pastures as well as excellent views from the summit. After about two hours of hiking, we'll enjoy our well-deserved break at a mountain chalet before continuing our hike.
